2014-07-04 Sous Vide Oven

After several successful meals with food cooked with the sous vide oven controller it has been decided to give the equipment to my mother who expressed interest in the cooking method. An instruction manual was written to make the set up and programming procedure clearer for her. The manual used pictures taken with the explicit purpose of being in the manual rather than reusing pictures from the build. A heating plate and kettle have replaced the sow clocker which did not provide adequate heating power. Another controller will be built but the next iteration will use a more complex controller.

To do:

  • Remove tuning potentiometer from thermometer wires
  • Tune temperature with built-in temperature calibrating settings
  • Build second oven controller.
